Powering Up Checklist

Care should be take before power up to check that the wiring is correct to prevent damage to expensive componenets. This is noramlly done using a philosophy called point to point checks. The idea is to check that every wire is correct according to the wiring diagram. This is done with a multimeter.

Once all the wiring has been checked, it is typicdal to disconnect the power supply and PLC supply and then check between live and neutral as well as between the 24v and 0v terminals to ensure that there are no shorts.

Once the panel has been checked, power on each circuit break one at a time.
